Description
Balneario La Toma is a landscaped area on the river 3.7 miles north of San Cristobal, it is a natural freshwater swimming pool with a bar, restaurant and music.
It is the favorite place of the inhabitants of the region who come here to enjoy the freshness of the water and a family and festive atmosphere. There are a lot of people on weekends and public holidays.
Balneario La Toma is quite easy to find, there is ample parking. The restaurant offers simple but good and inexpensive Dominican cuisine. Excellent place to enjoy and share with friends and family.
After visiting the Pomier caves, visitors will often stop at La Toma to eat and cool off. This water reservoir was the first dam built in America during colonial times.

La Toma is open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Admission is 50 pesos to be able to enjoy the pools and slides.
