Description
The Arroyo Hondo theme park is located a few kilometers from San Jose de las Matas, on the Inoa River, in the community of Arroyo Hondo.
It is a historic place because it was the first hydroelectric power station in the Caribbean built in 1942 to supply water to the whole city of sajoma but the flow of the Inoa river has dropped a lot and the power station has closed. In 2014 the Dominican government undertook to restore the site and turn it into a theme park with kayak, zip line, natural swimming pool, cafeteria, restaurant, play areas for children, green spaces, a room with a capacity of 300 people for weddings, baptisms, birthdays and other activities and a shop with local products.
Arroyo Hondo Park is an excellent place to be close to nature and enjoy an unforgettable day with family and friends.

Entrance to the park is RD $ 125 for adults, children 6 to 12 pay 50%, free for children under 6. Parking is 100 pesos for cars and 200 pesos for buses.
It is open Monday to Sunday: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
