Description
La Loma Quita Espuela is a scientific reserve in the Cordillera Septentrional, located approximately 9.32 miles from San Francisco de Macoris
and covering an area of approximately 72.5 square kilometers. It was declared a scientific reserve in 1992 and is made up of the summits: Loma Quita Espuela, Loma Vieja, Loma el Quemado, Loma la Cannela. These peaks are scattered in all directions.
La Loma Quita Espuela occupies the center of these peaks. It is a majestic water source, based on the rivers: El Flaco, Martel, La Traversia, La Canita, Los Morrones, Las Totumas, among others.
While visiting this beautiful place, you can enjoy an interesting tour enjoying the trekking through the cocoa forest.
