Description
The Salto Rio Grande waterfall is located in the province of Azua, in the municipalities of Las Charcas and Estebanía. The waterfall is located in the Francisco Alberto Caamano Deno national park. It is about 35 meters high and is the highest in the whole region.
It is a nice place, far from the bustle of the city, excellent for being in contact with nature. A paradise for nature and ecotourism lovers.
Salto Rio Grande is quite difficult to find for visitors who don't know the way. It's a good trail, but halfway down the trail it turns into a dirt road and you'll have to ask the locals to take you there as Google Maps won't get you all the way to the end. You have to be well equipped with good shoes because you have to cross the river several times to get there.
This natural tourist attraction is little known and little frequented, it is mainly the inhabitants of the surroundings who come to enjoy the fresh and pure waters of the waterfall.
