Description
The Cueva del Puente (Bridge Cave) is one of the many caves in Cotubanama Park (former Eastern Park) which is easily accessible. It takes about 1 hour 15 minutes to walk (there and back) from the park entrance to Bayahibe Dominicus.
The visit is free to access (after paying the park entrance fee which is 100 pesos). The caves are large, easy to get around and there are stalactites, stalagmites and typical cave animals like bats.
To fully enjoy the walk and the cave it is advisable to bring a flashlight, as well as wearing pants, a good T-shirt, sneakers and mosquito repellent. The Cueva del Puente can be visited with children because there is no risk.
It is possible to be accompanied by a guide for a fee. This cave, which is easy to access, is very visited, especially by tourists who spend their holidays in the all-inclusive resorts of Dominicus.
