Description
La Zurza is a natural swimming pool with water with high sulfur content located 6 kilometers from Duverge, province of Independencia, very close to Lake Enriquillo
, in the west of the Dominican Republic.
Spring water which is concentrated in sulfur is said to be good for treating certain skin diseases. Many people come here for this reason.
At Balneario La Zurza visitors will find a parking lot as well as a cafeteria with food and drinks. The place is very frequented on Sundays by locals who come to take a refreshing bath while listening to music.
La Zurza is one of the tourist attractions of this fairly isolated region of the Dominican Republic which receives few foreign tourists due to its remoteness.
