The beach of Bayahibe (village)
The beach of Bayahibe village (not to be confused with Playa Dominicus which is a few kilometers after the village) is located right at the entrance to the small village of Bayahibe, on the Caribbean coast of the Dominican Republic.
The beach
The beach is about 2 kilometers, it is bordered by coconut palms and palm trees, at the entrance of the beach and in the village of Bayahibe you will find restaurants and bars. Bayahibe is a small quiet village, once the buses that take tourists to visit the islands of Saona and Catalina are gone.
The main beach is located on the right, where the boats for Saona are parked. To the left, after the baseball field, is a small secluded beach called La Playita.
Bayahibe is the starting point for Bayahibe to Saona Island and Catalina Island, on the beach there are many boats ready to take you on these islands.
The beach is also famous for scuba diving and deep-sea fishing. On this beach is a single hotel which is located at the western end, the all-inclusive Hilton La Romana. However the village has some small hotels and aparthotel.
In Playa Dominicus and in the village you will find other hotels and apart-hotels as well as all-inclusive hotels for a stay in Bayahibe.

Close to the village there is too much boat and a lot of movement to go to Saona Island.
