The beaches of the province of Azua
The province of Azua has some pretty beaches which are mainly frequented by the inhabitants of the region and by the inhabitants of Santo Domingo who own a second home in the region of Azua.
The province of Azua is located along the Caribbean Sea with about 70 kilometers of coastline, there are numerous beaches (some of black sand) all along the coast. They are rarely visited by foreign tourists, indeed Azua is not a province where international tourism has developed.
The main tourist centers are Monterrío, Playa Chiquita and Palmar de Ocoa.

- Palmar de Ocoa beach which is also a village on the shore of Ocoa bay.
- Punta de Playa Grande.
- Playa Chiquita.
- Playa Mia.
- Hatillo beach
- Playa Viyeya.

- Playa Blanca.
- Playa Tortuguero.

The province of Azua is located in the south of the Dominican Republic, between the provinces of Péravia (in the East), Barahona (in the West) and San Jose de Ocoa, La Vega and San Juan in the north.
To the south is the Caribbean Sea and Ocoa Bay.
