The beaches of the province of Peravia
The province of Peravia has some pretty beaches about 80 kilometers from Santo Domingo, the capital of the Dominican Republic. Popular beaches frequented by locals and neighboring provinces.
The province of Peravia is located along the Caribbean Sea with about 50 kilometers of coastline, there are some pretty beaches. Like the beaches of the neighboring provinces of San Cristobal and Azua, they are very popular with the inhabitants of the capital who come to spend the day with family or friends. Domestic tourism is well developed thanks to its proximity to Santo Domingo (80 kms). International tourism is almost nonexistent despite good potential, only tourists on vacation in Santo Domingo, Boca Chica or Juan Dolio come to visit this part of the Dominican Republic.
The province of Peravia has some pretty beaches:
- Nizao beach, large gray sand beach.
- Los Almendros.
- Playa Sombrero.
- Matanzas beach.
- El Derrumbao.
- Punta Las Salinas, next to Sand Dunes of Bani in the bay of Las Calderas.
- Playa Los Corbanitos where Punta Arena is located.

I have been to Punta Las Salinas and the Bani dunes several times. It's magic and it changes from the other tourist beaches of the Caribbean coast. Great!!!
