Caracoles beach - Azua

Caracoles beach is a beautiful and large beach located on the edge of Ocoa bay in the province of Azua, approximately 1h30 by car from Santo Domingo, the capital of the Dominican Republic.

It is a public beach (free admission) frequented mainly by the inhabitants of the province.

There is parking, the beach is made up of a mixture of sand, gravel and pebbles, not very easy for bathing and swimming. Recommended to spend a quiet day with family or friends. Playa Caracoles is bathed by the beautiful waters of the Ocoa Bay, home to an impressive marine ecosystem. The view is spectacular over the entire bay.

There are some fishermen, it is possible to buy fresh fish coming early in the morning.
