Playa Coson Las Terrenas
Playa Coson is one of the many beaches of Las Terrenas, Samana Peninsula in the Dominican Republic. It is located about 5 kms before the village, on the left coming from the boulevard de l'Atlantique. It is a beautiful and long beach with few people except Sundays and holidays.

Like all the beaches of Las Terrenas and surroundings, it is huge, lined with coconut trees and the sea is often calm. Miles of beaches, walking it is possible to join playa Bonita.
It is one of the most beautiful beaches of the Samana peninsula and Las Terrenas, wild and virgin, to visit absolutely.
Only one restaurant on the beach, Luis, where you can eat fresh fish, lobster, conch, octopus...
It is conducive to surfing and bodysurfing.
There are some hotels in Coson and rentals of villas and residences.
To go to Playa Coson, it is well indicated, leaving Las Terrenas, towards the Atlantic Boulevard, signs indicate access. This beach is quite close to the village, for a few dozen pesos a motoconcho (motorcycle taxi) can take you there or so by car or four wheels.

Access to the beach is easy even if the dirt road in rainy weather is sometimes a little flooded. With the Juan Pablo II motorway (Autopista del Nordeste) and the construction of the Atlantic Boulevard, Las Terrenas is only 2 hours from Santo Domingo and the Las Americas airport.
