El Barco Beach - Azua

Playa El Barco is a beautiful and large beach located on the edge of the Ocoa bay in the province of Azua, approximately 1h30 by car from Santo Domingo, the capital of the Dominican Republic.

El Barco beach is a beautiful secluded beach that is accessed by boat from Monte Rio beach (ask a fisherman and he will take you for a few pesos) or by walking, leaving the vehicle after La Uvita beach and taking a path through Playa Blanca and Cueva de los Piratas beach, there are about 45 minutes walking. Don't forget something to protect yourself from the sun and water to stay hydrated.

The beach is really lovely, it is still a virgin beach. The water is crystal clear, ideal for snorkeling.
