Costa Esmeralda beach is a beautiful and extensive beach that has remained hidden and protected from mass tourism for a long time. The beach is huge, several kilometers of white sand, the beach is lined with coconut palms, not much shade. The sea is usually calm, the water is warm and crystal clear.

Miches and its surroundings benefit from the construction of new all-inclusive complexes that contribute to the economic development of this region. Club Med was the first to open at the end of 2019, 40 years after Punta Cana. Since then, several other constructions are in progress, such as Temptation Miches Resort (now open), Dreams Playa Esmeralda.

Miches is less than an hour from the Punta Cana airport and more than 2 hours from the Las Americas airport.

Playa Costa Esmeralda is located a few kilometers from Miches, province of El Seibo, in the northeast of the Dominican Republic. A road is being built (2022) to facilitate access by car to the beach. Miches is a small developing town.
