In Playa Guayacanes the sea is calm and the shallow waters, it is a popular beach frequented by the inhabitants of Santo Domingo and the surroundings, mainly on weekends and holidays, the week it is a very calm beach.
Along the main street that runs along the beach there are restaurants and bars like Kiosco Romagna, La Madrague, La Playa Del Pescador which serve excellent fish and seafood freshly caught by the locals.
Guayacanes is a small fishing village located on the Caribbean coast of the Dominican Republic about 45 Kms from the capital Santo Domingo, just before Juan Dolio.
The closest resort to this small beach is Playa Esmeralda Resort as well as Juan Dolio hotels and Boca Chica hotels.
There are also villas for vacations.

The beach is easy to find when coming from Santo Domingo by the eastern highway. After passing Boca Chica you have to take direction Juan Dolio by the boulevard which runs along the Caribbean Sea. The village of Guayavanes is 1 kilometer on the right.

A very nice beach, near Santo Domingo. This beach is better than Boca Chica beach.
