Monte Rio Beach - Azua

Playa Monte Rio a beautiful and wide white sand beach on the Caribbean Sea, a few minutes south of Azua. The water is warm, the sea is calm and shallow. It is perfect for children and people who do not know how to swim well.
On the beach there are few trees that provide shade to protect from the scorching sun of the Dominican Republic. There are some restaurants and small hotels along the beach.

There is ample parking, the beach is easy to find. Like many beaches in the Dominican Republic, it is very crowded on weekends and holidays, but during the week it is very quiet.

Monte Rio beach is frequented mainly by the inhabitants of the city of Azua. Few international tourists come to this beach because it is quite far from the main tourist centers (Bayahibe, Punta Cana, Cap Cana, La Romana...).
