Punta Popy in Las Terrenas - Dominican Republic
Punta Popy or Popi is a beautiful beach of Las Terrenas located east of the village, Samana Peninsula, in the north-east of the Dominican Republic.

At first, the beach is not very wide to end with a point (hence its name) where the beach is wider and with trees and coconut trees to protect themselves from the sun.
It is a popular beach, it is the favorite beach of the inhabitants of Las Terrenas and the surrounding area because it is close to the village and shaded. On weekends and holidays Dominicans come to enjoy the beach and the sea.
The road that leads to Punta Popy Beach is Avenida 27 Febrero (February) which goes on to El Limon and Santa Barbara de Samana, the capital of Samana province.
Along the way are numerous hotels, aparthotels, residences, restaurants
(Chez Sandro, Le Tre Caravelle, La Dolce Vita, El Lugar, Restaurante Los Pinos...) and bars (El Mosquito, Los Kikis Bar, Afreeka Beach Hostel Music Bar...).
Its location, east, is perfect to admire the sunrise.
Punta Popi is also a kitesurf spot in the Dominican Republic with good wind conditions and a fairly calm and shallow sea perfect for the practice of this aquatic sport.
