Description
The Maximo Gomez House Museum is the house where General Maximo Gomez lived, who participated in the writing of the Monte Cristi manifesto in which the independence of Cuba was proclaimed.
It is a wooden house with paintings, furniture, books, banknotes and objects that trace the history of this general. The visit is made accompanied by a guide who perfectly explains the history of the house. The museum is not large but it is rich in history and information.
Perfect place to educate yourself and learn a bit of Dominican and Cuban history. The Maximo Gomez museum is one of the cultural sites to visit in Monte Cristi.
