Description
The museum is dedicated to Our Lady of La Altagracia, to preserve, transmit and enhance the cultural and religious heritage that has been created around Our Lady of La Altagracia.
The museum has a collection of paintings by the painter Diego José Hilaris which tell of the miracles of the Virgin from the 16th to the 18th century. There is a collection of gold jewelry ranging from the 17th to the 20th century, religious costumes from different eras and it tells the religious and cultural history of the country as well as its devotion to the Virgin of La Altagracia.
The museum can be visited with or without a guide.
Outside the museum there is a place to pray.

The La Altagracia museum is located in the gardens of the Our Lady of La Altagracia Basilica in Higuey.
Admission for the tour alone is RD$ 100, the guided tour is RD$ 200.
It is open Tuesday to Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
