Description
The Santo Domingo National Aquarium allows you to discover the underwater flora and fauna of the Dominican Republic. It is one of the largest aquariums in the Caribbean, it is located by the sea, it offers visitors many pools that allow visitors to discover the aquatic fauna of the Caribbean Sea.
Many species of fish and marine animals are presented with explanatory panels (in Spanish). You will be able to see sea turtles, moray eels, sharks, groupers, lobsters... and all kinds of colorful fish.
The Santo Domingo Aquarium is a public establishment which is divided into 5 departments: aquariology, conservation, environmental education, scientific research and veterinary clinic.
Outside, it has a shaded park with benches, an area with games for children with a view of the sea.
The public establishment offers a space for rent, within the institution's facilities, for the celebration of birthdays, weddings, graduation ceremonies, conferences, camps or any other event suitable for all ages.
The Santo Domingo National Aquarium is an attraction for both tourists and nationals who come to spend part of the day in the park after visiting the aquarium.

Prices for nationals: RD $ 75.00 for adults, RD $ 50 for children under 12 years old.
Price for foreigners: $ 4.00 for adults, $ 3 for children under 12.

The aquarium is great for discovering the marine fauna of the Caribbean. A good place to spend time with family or friends in Santo Domingo.
