The Alexa hotel is a budget establishment located in the center of Paraiso 21.7 miles (35 km) south of Barahona, in the southwest of the Dominican Republic.

This is an inexpensive hotel that offers basic services, the rooms are simple with television, some have air conditioning. The Alexa hotel offers a nightly, weekly, fortnightly and monthly rate.

It is well located in the city center close to everything. Nearby there are grocery stores (colmados), small Dominican restaurants (comedors). Paraiso is a small village by the Caribbean Sea, between sea and mountains, more than 124 miles (200 km) from Santo Domingo.

Mass tourism has not arrived so far, probably because the beaches are not large and beautiful enough! However domestic tourism is well developed as well as green and ecological tourism.
