The ecotourism complex Sereno de la Montana is located 21 miles (34 Kms) from Moca, north of the Dominican Republic.

This is an initiative of two NGOs in the region (ADEPE and CMCJ) to develop sustainable tourism in the province of Espaillat.

It has two hostels (built according to the local traditional architecture) of five units each with private bathroom and mountain views. The ranch offers single (2 to 4), family (4 to 6) and dormitories (4 to 6)

A Sereno de la Montana Ecolodge you can camp, go tubing, horseback riding, kayaking and of course walk through the many trails in the region.

Go to this ecotourism complex is also supporting the local community.

Moca is located between Santiago de los Caballeros and San Francisco de Macoris. Seaside tourism has developed in the north of the province, in Gaspar Hernandez and Rio San Juan.
