Villa Montellano (or simply Montellano) is located on the north coast of the Dominican Republic, in the province of Puerto Plata on the Atlantic Ocean.
Since its founding, Montellano was an area economically dependent on sugar cane plantations, but plans to convert the recently launched beaches of Cangrejo, Bergantín y Boca Nueva agricultural plantations in tourist centers have emerged. The hotel offer is concentrated mainly in the cities of Puerto Plata, Sosua and Cabarete.
