Villa Vasquez is a small town located in the northwest of the Dominican Republic, in the province of Monte Cristi.
It is an agricultural town, tourism is not very developed with the exception of the beach of Buen Hombre which gathers the majority of the hotels of Villa Vasquez.
The main tourist attraction is the beach. Buen Hombre is renowned for having exceptional conditions for kitesurfing and windsurfing.

The National Park of Monte Cristi

La Isabella National Park

It is a set of ruins dating from the discovery of the Americas and a museum. La Isabela was the first villa built by the Spanish conquistadors. The ruins are made up of four areas: the main nucleus "the castle", an agricultural and breeding area, a quarry to extract stones for construction and the shipyard for the construction and maintenance of boats.
