Mild weather all year round
Punta Cana is located in the east of the Dominican Republic, in the province of La Altagracia, about 2h15 by road from Santo Domingo, the administrative and economic capital of the country.
The entire eastern part of the Dominican Republic (La Altagracia, La Romana, San Pedro de Macoris, El Seibo) enjoys a warm and relatively dry tropical climate, the rains are less abundant than in other parts of the Dominican Republic.

Officially the hurricane season is from June to November, the most active months are generally August and September. During this period thunderstorms are more frequent, the rains more abundant with the passage of more or less strong tropical waves and storms.
