Cabrera
is a city located on the north coast of the Dominican Republic,

miles north of the capital Santo Domingo. The city was originally
called "Tres Amarras" since its founding in 1891, but
Cabrera was renamed in honor of the heroes of the Battle of Capotillo,
General José Cabrera.
Cabrera is considered one of the most beautiful places in the Dominican
Republic. Located on the Atlantic coast, it has the most
beautiful beaches, rivers, lush vegetation and many natural
tourist attractions.
The most famous beach is Playa Grande, considered one of the most
beautiful beaches in the world. Other beaches are important as Playa
Preciosa, El Diamante, La Esmeralda, The Caletón Dario and
Caleton beach. A major natural attraction is the National
Park of Cabo Frances Viejo, a nature reserve of extraordinary
beauty.
Economy depends mainly on farming, fishing, agriculture and tourism.
Cabrera is a charming village, ideal for fun, to
live in peace and tranquility in a mild climate, lush tropical vegetation
and pristine beaches.
Cabrera does not have a large hotel structures, only a few small
hotels
to enjoy a heavenly environment, the beach, sun and many tourist
attractions in northern Dominican Republic.
The only naturist
hotel in the Dominican Republic is located next to the city.

Cabrera Beaches

Lagoon Dudu
Laguna Dudu is a freshwater lagoon that offers crystal clear water with swimmers, it is also the place for diving in a popular cave (the cave dive lasts approximately 45 minutes). There is also a Taino cave, with a length of about 30 meters.
Lago Azul
Lago Azul is a small freshwater lake with fresh water (23 °) and clear, it is located on the road in Nagua Cabrera in a private property (entrance is charged).
Waterfall El Saltadero
Magnificent waterfalls in Guananico, about 8 meters high with a clear and cool water. This is one of the most visited tourist attractions during Samana Santa and summer vacation.
La Entrada beach
La Entrada is a virgin beach with only a few small "shops" to eat and drink. At the weekend many people come to enjoy this beach.
National Park of Cabo Frances Viejo
Nature reserve to preserve the fauna and flora of this region. The park was established in 1974, it extends over 5 km along the coast. You'll find all the tropical landscapes: beaches, cliffs, creeks, birds.
