Description of Saona Lodge
Saona Lodge is on Saona Island, in Cotubanama National Park, east of the Dominican Republic. The island is accessible only by boat from the village of Bayahibe, it takes between 30 minutes and 1h30 of navigation depending on the boat used (engine or sail).
Saona Lodge offers simple and ecological accommodation in small wooden huts, no air conditioning, no television but a mosquito net. It is advisable to make clothes with long sleeves, pants and a repellent for mosquitoes. There is the possibility of renting bikes to go around the island as well as masks and snorkels to make snorkel.
The Saona island is one of the main tourist attractions of this part of the Dominican Republic, every day hundreds of tourists come there to enjoy the fantastic beaches. However, the island is large enough to find quiet places.
