Luperon - Dominican Republic

Luperon is a small town located in the province of Puerto Plata, about fifty kilometers from the capital of the province.
Luperon has a large bay which serves as a refuge for many boats which come to anchor in the bay to shelter themselves from the wind and the swell. It is part of the navigation routes of the boats that navigate the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic. It is a natural refuge.
The nautical activity and the tourism that goes with it is an important source of income for this small town.
The other tourist attraction is La Isabela Historical National Park.
